NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley wasn't a fan of Los Angeles Clippers small forward Paul George blaming his shooting struggles on anxiety and depression.

During an appearance on “The Dan Patrick Show,” Barkley said he doesn't believe NBA players can be in a “dark place” in the Walt Disney World bubble since they are making millions of dollars to put a ball in a basket.

Chuck also talked about the people who have lost their jobs due to COVID-19 and how they are the ones who are really in a dark place (12:27):

Former NBA guard Raja Ball reacted to Paul George's quote as well. He said the Clippers All-Star should have kept that comment to himself:

Paul George finally broke out of his shooting slump in Game 5 against the Dallas Mavericks. The Clippers are now one win away from advancing to the second round of the 2020 playoffs.

Charles Barkley said NBA players are the luckiest people in America since they get paid millions of dollars to play a sport. While he's sort of right, that doesn't mean players can't deal with mental health issues in the bubble since they are away from their families for such a long period of time.

This rings even more true now given the recent circumstances involving the shooting of Jacob Blake. A lot of players are clearly shook up from this, and three playoff games have been postponed after the Milwaukee Bucks refused to play in Wednesday's Game 5.

Paul George and the Clippers are supposed to play Game 6 against the Mavs on Thursday, but that might wind up being postponed as well.
