Los Angeles Clippers forward Danilo Gallinari won't suit up when the team faces the two-time defending champions Golden State Warriors on Sunday.

Gallinari, who was listed as doubtful heading into Sunday's matchup, has officially been ruled out against the Warriors due to a hampering ankle injury. JaMychal Green and Wilson Chandler are expected to see increased minutes in his absence.

Patrick Beverley could also miss his third straight game with a hip injury. Although both he and Danilo Gallinari aren't expected to miss a significant amount of time, the the absence of both veterans could hurt the Clippers' chances of getting a better seeding.

The Clippers currently have a record of 47-33, sixth in the Western Conference standings. Although it is unlikely that they will be able to catch up the fifth-seeded Utah Jazz (49-30), they could still fall down to the seventh or eighth spot — especially if the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs win all their remaining games.

Clippers guard Beverley has already publicly stated that the team doesn't care who they meet in the first round, but at this point, a potential match-up with the Warriors could result in a short run in the playoffs.

The Clippers will play their final regular season game against the Utah Jazz on Wednesday, and there's a good chance Gallinari could make his return there while Beverley will continue to be listed as day-to-day.
