Two of the L.A. Clippers' many injury casualties are continuing their road to recovery as forward Danilo Gallinari and point guard Milos Teodosic have been assigned to their G-League affiliate, the AC Clippers.

Gallinari, who has missed the last month due to a strained glute, might not be in the G-League very long. The Italian is targeting Wednesday’s rematch with the Minnesota Timberwolves to make his return to the Clippers’ main roster.

Meanwhile, Teodosic has made a speedier recovery than expected from a foot issue which knocked him out a couple of games into the season. He’ll spend a bit longer in the G-League, but is expected to return to the team within the next few weeks.

The Clippers could desperately use both players back in the lineup given their horrendous injury situation. They have lost three straight games after losing Blake Griffin for a couple of months with a knee injury. Point guard Patrick Beverley is also lost for the season with his own knee injury.

Prior to getting injured, Gallinari had an awful start for the Clippers, averaging 12.8 points on 35 percent shooting through his first nine games. But with Griffin’s absence, he could be set to play more small-ball power forward like he did in Denver last season, which may potentially spark his season.

Meanwhile, Teodosic’s return would allow Clippers coach Doc Rivers another reliable guard option alongside Austin Rivers and Lou Williams. Rivers has needed to play rookies Jawun Evans, Sindarius Thornwell, and C.J. Williams significant minutes over the last few games due to their lack of healthy bodies.
