Fans of the L.A. Clippers breathed a small sigh of relief when the team’s prized interior defender, DeAndre Jordan, survived the trade deadline, as it hinted that the center might be valued high by the front office after all and could be kept even past this season.

Now just two weeks after, there’s something new to be worried about. Jordan just put up his L.A. home in the market.

Here’s Neil Leiterg of the LA Times talking about it in his column:

“The Clippers' DeAndre Jordan has listed his home in Malibu for sale at $6.5 million. The two-story contemporary sits at the end of its own gated driveway in the guard-gated Serra Retreat neighborhood.

The house features high ceilings, wide-plank wood floors and full smart-home and security systems…

Living and dining rooms, a movie theater, five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms lie within the 4,600 square feet of interior space. A wet bar finished in reclaimed wood siding sits off the kitchen… Off the second-floor master suite is a private balcony.”

The fans and the various sports shows will probably talk and debate about this in the coming weeks, but for the Clippers, they have more important things to worry about.

The critical stages of this season's playoff push have began, and the Clippers are one of the handful of teams in the driver seat. As the current ninth-seed (30-27) in the Western Conference standings, a tight battle with two talented and closely-ranked teams – New Orleans Pelicans and Utah Jazz – will be on the way.

Friday night, Jordan and the Clippers will pay the Phoenix Suns a visit. It's the second game of a back-to-back that began with last night's 134-127 loss to the Golden State Warriors.
