Los Angeles Clippers' opponents already have their hands full when one of Paul George or Kawhi Leonard goes off. Unfortunately for the Minnesota Timberwolves, both of them had it going against them on Friday night.

The superstar tandem combined for 88 points in the Clippers' 124-117 victory over the Timberwolves.

Clippers head coach Doc Rivers admitted via Yahoo Sports that they basically ran every play for Kawhi and PG13 on Friday night.

“That was great,” coach Doc Rivers said after Friday's win was inspired by George and Leonard.

“We knew without Lou [that] every play was basically for those two guys. And they came up big.”

George top-scored for L.A. with 46 points on 17-of-31 shooting with six three-pointers. Meanwhile, Leonard went 10-of-24 from the field and a perfect 19-of-19 from the charity stripe en route to 42 markers. Their combined 88 points accounted for 71 percent of the Clippers' total on Friday night.

With three-time Sixth Man of the Year Lou Williams taking the night off due to a calf injury, Los Angeles had to lean on their superstar duo to stave off a great effort from Minnesota.

Much like George and Leonard, the Timberwolves' own star pairing of Kar-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins also had it going, though to a slightly lesser degree. KAT finished his night with 39 points and 12 boards, while Wiggins dropped 34 of his own.

George and Leonard already had it going through the first two quarters, combining for 54 of L.A.'s 65 first half points.

Their performance last night was all the Clippers ever imagined when the two got on-board the team this past off-season.

They probably won't have to carry the offensive load like they did last night on a nightly basis. Nevertheless, their leadership, not just on offense, but on both sides of the ball, will be key if they want to capture their first NBA championship in franchise history this season.
