Since landing Kawhi Leonard and Paul George this summer, Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers has watched every game the two superstars have played in the last two years.

Rivers is preparing for the biggest season in Clippers franchise history. With Leonard and George on the team, the Clippers are title favorites for the first time ever.

“Since the day this went down, I have watched every game that Paul George played in the last two years, every game that Kawhi has played,” Rivers told Rich Eisen on the Rich Eisen Show. “I look at what we've done. I went all the way back to the Boston days to how Paul Pierce played. It's called preparation. There's a lot of things you can do.”

Doc Rivers guided the Clippers to 48 wins in the 2018-19 campaign without having a single All-Star at his disposal. Now, the Chicago native has two of the best players in the world and a great supporting cast, headlined by Lou Williams, Patrick Beverley and Montrezl Harrell.

Last season with the Toronto Raptors, Kawhi Leonard averaged 26.6 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists during the regular season. He guided the Raptors to the championship over the Golden State Warriors and won his second Finals MVP.

Paul George, meanwhile, put up 28.0 points, 8.2 rebounds and 4.1 assists with the Oklahoma City Thunder. The swingman underwent surgery to his right rotator cuff and left labrum after the Thunder’s season ended and could miss the entire preseason for the Clippers.

The Clippers are going to be a force on both ends of the floor next season. Many pundits believe the Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers will meet in the 2020 Western Conference Finals.
