Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers has liked a post on Instagram claiming small forward Andre Iguodala will join the franchise.

Iguodala is currently a member of the Memphis Grizzlies, but he's not expected to begin the season in Memphis.

The Clippers are among the teams who have interest in acquiring Iguodala via trade or if he gets waived by the Grizzlies and becomes an unrestricted free agent.

Andre Iguodala is owed $17.2 million next season, the final year of his contract. The 2015 Finals MVP averaged 5.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.2 assists last season with the Golden State Warriors while shooting 50.0 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from beyond the arc and 58.2 percent from the free-throw line.

The 35-year-old swingman put up 9.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.0 assists in the 2019 playoffs, where the Warriors lost to the Toronto Raptors in six games in the NBA Finals.

The Clippers already have four elite defenders in Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Patrick Beverley and Montrezl Harrell, so adding Iguodala would arguably give them the best defensive team in NBA history. The Los Angeles Lakers, Clippers and Houston Rockets are reportedly interested in Iguodala.

NBA training camps begin in October. It's going to be really interesting to see where Iguodala lands.
