Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden announced his pick for Vice President: Kamala Harris. The entire country has been watching and reacting to the news over the last couple of days, including LA Clippers coach Doc Rivers.

Ahead of Wednesday night's showdown against the Denver Nuggets, Rivers commended Joe Biden on his Vice President pick.

“It’s just beautiful,” Rivers said. “Very cool to see them on the stage. We’ve had our first Black president in President Obama and now we have a chance to have not only a Black vice president, but a woman as well. I mean, those are two things that we can (inaudible). It’s just a beautiful story.”

The job doesn't stop here. For nearly every practice media availability in the bubble, Rivers has donned a Clippers hat with the word, ‘VOTE,' in all capital letters. Throughout his press conferences, he's constantly talked about the importance of voting in the upcoming election.

“Now we need to keep the pressure on and we’ve just got to get everybody out to vote. I was very happy with the pick. Kamala came to talk here to us, our team, two years ago. She came in to talk to our team and we’ve been friends and it’s been great to watch.”

Like Doc Rivers, the ever-vocal LeBron James of the Los Angeles also reacted to the Joe Biden-Kamala Harris ticket on social media, congratulating the duo.

“Congrats and well deserved Sen. Kamala Harris!!” James said. “Love to see and support it! Appreciate you JB.”

NBA teams currently in Orlando are continuing to encourage people to vote and advocating for racial equality, among the many other messages players and teams have been trying to push forward.
