Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers is not happy with the NBA. He recently tore into the league after the Clippers game against the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight was flexed to an 8:30 CST start. With the Clippers also having to play tomorrow night in Chicago, Rivers isn’t happy at all with the leagues decision.

Speaking to the media ahead of Friday’s game, Rivers ripped the NBA, calling the move “ridiculous” and saying that it made no sense to shift a game.

“Oh it’s ridiculous,” Rivers said. “It’s ridiculous. This game it doesn’t affect, because it’s the first game, but to move a game from 7:00 to 8:30, and you play the next night at 7:00…it’s a TV game, game probably won’t start until 8:45, the game lasts another 15 minutes to a half hour when they’re TV games. You know it’s funny how everyone talks about, you know, these back-to-backs and they’re making it better, and then they do this, and it’s the exact opposite of what everyone said they’re trying to do.”

Rivers then went on to take some not-so-subtle shots at the media, including ESPN’s Doris Burke, for criticizing players who sit out due to load management. “Then you have the Doris Burke’s of the world, complaining about guys’ load management, and then the network they work on are the ones changing the game time,” he said. “So you can’t have it both ways, that’s all I’m saying. I agree with the frustration from the fans point of view as well, but you just can’t have it both ways.”

Currently, the Clippers sit at 19-7, good for the second best record in the Western Conference, and will look to continue their winning ways against the Timberwolves.
