While most eyes have been on Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry and his amazing hot streak of late, we also cannot overlook what Paul George has been doing for the Los Angeles Clippers over the last few games.

On Friday against the Philadelphia 76ers, PG-13 came out with another huge scoring night en route to matching a long-standing Clippers franchise record:

George has been on a tear for the Clippers of late, averaging 34.3 points (on 55.2 percent shooting), 5.0 rebounds, 6.3 assists, and 1.5 steals, while also connecting on 4.5 triples per game on an astounding 60.0-percent clip. PG amassed these numbers over his last four outings, and his performance on Friday against the Sixers will only further improve his averages.

It is worth noting that the 6-foot-8 swingman also sat out two out of the last six games, both of which were the second night of back-to-back sets. Clearly, load management has done nothing to disrupt George's scorching hot momentum of late.

The Clippers are chasing the top seed in the Western Conference right now. Entering Friday's tilt, they remained three and a half games behind the league-best Utah Jazz. They have won seven straight games and are without a doubt one of the hottest teams in the NBA right now.

It goes without saying that George's outstanding play has been one of the key proponents behind his team's recent run. The Clippers will need more of the same for PG the rest of the way as they look to mount a significant challenge for this year's crown.

The Clippers did lose this road game to the Sixers by a final score of 106-103.
