If you are a die-hard Los Angeles Clippers fan, the Game 5 loss to the Denver Nuggets really shouldn't surprise you.

Per Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN, the LA-based team is now 0-6 in franchise history when fighting for a Conference Finals berth.

Moreover, this year's Clippers — led by superstars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George — are the only team to blow multiple 16-point leads in the 2020 playoffs.

The Nuggets outscored the Clippers 29-24 in the third quarter and 38-25 in the fourth. Jamal Murray led Denver in scoring with 26 points, but veteran power forward Paul Millsap was the spark plug for the team after he put up 17 points in 29 minutes.

Leonard was his usual stellar self for the Clippers. The two-time Finals MVP scored 36 points and grabbed nine rebounds as well. George was good, too, as he registered 26 points, six rebounds and six assists.

Everyone else for the Clippers was pretty bad, though, especially Lou Williams. The three-time Sixth Man of the Year had only four points and shot 2-of-10 from the field and 0-of-5 from beyond the arc. As good as Leonard and George are, LA is going nowhere if Williams doesn't start playing better.

Game 6 of this series will be on Sunday. You can expect Leonard to come out super aggressive since the Clips are now under pressure to close this series out.
