The Los Angeles Clippers were once again very close to clinching their first berth in the conference finals in franchise history. However, for the second consecutive game, they failed to close out the series.

Isaiah Thomas, who's currently a free agent, believes he could've helped the Clippers if he was still on the team:

Back in February, the Washington Wizards sent Thomas to the Clippers as part of a three-team deal with the New York Knicks. However, the Clippers waived Thomas shortly after and signed Reggie Jackson instead.

Thomas also believes the Nuggets, who were once down 3-1 this series, will win Game 7 of the series on Tuesday. IT spent part of last season with Denver.

As for the Clippers, the pressure will certainly be on them Tuesday night. The Clippers had numerous chances to close out the series, but they couldn't stop the Nuggets' fierce offense and stopped making shots. The Nuggets were down by as many as 19 points, but they kept fighting back and eventually went on a 17-0 run during the third quarter. They continued to dominate the Clippers in the fourth to earn a 111-98 victory.

Paul George finished the game with 33 points, six rebounds and three assists while going 9-of-21 from the field. Kawhi Leonard finished with 25 points, eight rebounds and five assists while going 8-of-18 from the field.

The Clippers are now 0-7 in games where they could clinch a trip to the conference finals. They'll get one more shot on Tuesday for the honor to play the Los Angeles Lakers in the next round.
