The LA Clippers acquired Ivica Zubac from the Los Angeles Lakers during the trade deadline, and the former second round pick seems to be happier with his state in his new team.

In an interview after their 128-107 win against the New York Knicks, Zubac shared his thoughts about his situation with the Clippers right now and compared it to what he felt when he was with the Lakers.

While the Clippers made quick work of the league-worst Knicks, the Lakers haven't been able to win against non-playoff teams. They have losses against the Knicks, Cleveland Cavaliers, Atlanta Hawks, New Orleans Pelicans, Memphis Grizzlies, and most recently, the Phoenix Suns.

Although they play in the same building, the Clippers are a better team than the Lakers this season. They are currently in the seventh spot in the Western Conference standings, while their co-tenants at Staples Center are ranked 10th.

Ivica Zubac, a self-proclaimed Lakers die-hard, is in a better situation with the Clippers. Not only is he a starter, but he's also playing a significant role for a team that aims to make a deep run in the playoffs.

No wonder why he's ecstatic about his new LA team. If he stays with the squad, he has a chance to be a part of a star-studded team next season.

The Clippers have two max slots to sign players like Kevin Durant and Kawhi Leonard this June.
