Hysteria over the coronavirus has affected more than the general public. With the news that the NBA is suspending the season after Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert have contracted COVID-19, people all over the country have been stocking up on supplies in anticipation of possible quarantine and isolation. That apparently includes Los Angeles Clippers forward JaMychal Green, who was spotted shopping for supplies in a long line at an LA grocery store.

As of now, no word has been released as to how long the NBA will uphold the suspension, but the league is doing what they can to ensure the safety of their players and have stated that they will use the time off to decide their next steps in regard to the virus.

As is often the case during natural disasters or other times of panic and hysteria, people tend to stock up on supplies. As for JaMychal Green, the number of COVID-19 cases in California has reached 200 — making it the third-highest number among the 42 states currently affected.

For the U.S. as a whole, the nationwide virus count has reportedly surpassed 1,200 with at least 37 deaths. Globally, that number jumps to a staggering 126,369 cases and 4,633 reported deaths and has affected nearly every country on the planet.

The Clippers are currently second in the West with a 44-20 record. With 18 games left in the season though, it remains to be seen if they will be able to play the remainder of the games or what measures the NBA will take to resolve the issue.

For now though, Green, the Clippers and all in the NBA are rightly prioritizing their own health and safety.
