What does “The Logo” think the atmosphere will be like at the Staples Center when the Los Angeles Clippers and Lakers clash next season?

“Like the playoffs,” the Hall of Fame Laker and current Clippers executive told Dan Patrick (via Ryan Ward).

West joined the Clippers' board in June 2017 after advising the Golden State Warriors. One of the greatest NBA players of all time turned his playing career into a successful and lengthy executive arc — employed by the Lakers, Memphis Grizzlies, Warriors and now the Clips.

West has been credited for eyeing Kobe Bryant while with the Lakers, convincing Shaquille O'Neal to join LA, developing Stephen Curry into a two-time MVP, convincing Kevin Durant to join the Bay Area team, and working with the Clippers to land both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.

The Clippers, with two heavy All-Stars, will now get to match up with LeBron James, Anthony Davis and the fearsome Lakers four times a season at the Staples Centers…and hopefully a playoff series down the line.

West commented that the environment should be special and feel like the playoffs when the two sides face off in Hollywood.

As a player, West won a single championship with the Lakers in 1972. Later in life, he won eight rings as an executive with LA and the Warriors and claimed the NBA's Executive of the Year honors twice.
