The Jimmy Butler and Lou Williams playful beef continues even after the 2018 NBA All-Star Game. Williams wasn’t selected to play as an All-Star even though many had voted for him. Butler, on the other hand, was chosen by the coaches to play in the prestigious midseason exhibition match.

Butler was interviewed by ESPN’s Cassidy Hubbarth interviewed Butler about sitting out the game and his response to Williams’ tweet.

Needless to say, Butler was none too happy about it. Butler challenged Williams to a one-on-one contest for $100,000, the amount that each member of Team LeBron took home for winning in the All-Star Game.

During the All-Star Game, it was revealed that Butler asked coach Mike D’Antoni that he would like to beg off from playing as he wasn’t feeling too well. Team Steph was missing one of its stars and some wondered why he didn’t play even for a few minutes despite the illness.

One of those who thought that it was a waste of an All-Star vote, at least that’s how it appeared, was Williams. The L.A. Clippers shooting guard was among those who were snubbed mostly because of the numbers game. The West is stocked with All-Star-worthy candidates and Williams just missed the cut.

Many believe that Williams posted the tweet because he felt that if Butler wasn’t going to play anyway, he should have given way to someone else who deserved to be in the game. Of course, that someone was Williams.

Williams replied later that he was just trolling.

No matter where you stand in this argument between the two players, it would be very interesting to see whether Williams takes Butler’s challenge.
