The L.A. Clippers will be getting star forward Kawhi Leonard back in the lineup on Wednesday night when the Boston Celtics come to town.

The news was first reported by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Ohm Youngmisuk.

Leonard has missed the last three games with a left knee contusion suffered against the Houston Rockets exactly one week ago. His return means the Clippers will have their star duo of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George healthy and active for the first time all season.

In the nine games he's played, Leonard is averaging 26.8 points, 8.9 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 2.1 steals, and 1.0 block per game on 44 percent shooting from the field and just 28.6 percent from beyond the arc. The Clippers are 7-2 in the games that he's played, all without George.

In the three games since he returned from offseason shoulder surgeries, George is averaging 29.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 4.0 made three-pointers on 56.3 percent shooting from the field and 52.2 percent from beyond the arc. The Clippers are 2-1 in the games that he's played, all without Leonard.

Center Ivica Zubac hinted at this morning's shootaround that we'd see the first of Leonard and George for the first time.

“Finally,” said Zubac. “It will be great. We are really good with only Kawhi. We are really good with only PG. So you know when you put them two together, it's got to be good. So we'll see it tonight, but I'm really excited.”
