The LA Clippers have won seven games in a row and have remained relatively healthy to start the new season, but they face a new test at the start of a six game road trip. Both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George have been ruled out of Tuesday night's game against the Atlanta Hawks due to the NBA's health and safety protocols.

This is the first time this season the Clippers appear to be dealing with the impact of the NBA's seriousness when it comes to dealing with COVID-19. It's unclear whether the duo tested positive or came into contact with someone who tested positive. With contact tracing underway and both players not traveling to Atlanta with the team on Monday, there's a chance the Clipper could be without both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George for the entire 10-day trip.

On their trip, the Clippers will face the Hawks, Miami Heat, Orlando Magic, New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets, and Cleveland Cavaliers before returning home on Thursday, February 4th.

The road trip marks the first time since January 3rd that the Clippers will leave the state of California.

Considering the rampant growth of COVID-19 cases in California, specifically in Los Angeles, this was always a possibility.

Patrick Beverley, who missed the second half of Sunday afternoon's win over the Thunder, is also out for the Clippers due to right knee soreness. Marcus Morris, who missed the contest due to a stomach illness, is not listed on the report and will be available to play.

In 15 appearances this season, Kawhi Leonard has averaged 25.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, 5.7 assists, 2.0 steals, and 2.1 three-pointers per game on 50.5 percent shooting from the field, 41.9 percent shooting from beyond the arc, and 90 percent from the free throw line.

In 16 appearances this season, Paul George has averaged 23.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 1.2 steals and 3.8 three-pointers per game on 50.4 percent shooting from the field, 48.4 percent from three, and 90.7 percent from the line,.
