It was reported on Thursday that while Kawhi Leonard has been making progress on his rehab from an ACL injury, the fact remains that the Los Angeles Clippers superstar has yet to be cleared for 5-on-5 work. Be that as it may, there is still reason for LA fans to get excited as the former NBA Finals MVP looks to get ready for the upcoming season.

According to Law Murray of The Athletic, Leonard has been laser-focused on his goal to be ready for 2022-23. He appears to have the psychological aspect of his rehab covered:

I am told Leonard has not been restricted at all this month as he continues what has been to this point a successful rehabilitation process. Leonard has also been locked in mentally, as multiple sources suggest the mental hurdles that usually come with an ACL injury and long-term rehab have not deterred him.

It is also worth noting that Kawhi put on some weight throughout his time off. He looks bulked up, but as Murray also reports, the Clippers All-Star has now actually “slimmed down.”

There is still no timetable for Leonard's return, but right now, all signs seem to be pointing in the right direction.
