Some key dates on the 2019-20 NBA schedule have been released. Among them is Kawhi Leonard's return to Toronto, as Leonard's LA Clippers will battle the Raptors at Scotiabank Arena on Dec. 11, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Leonard signed with the Clippers in free agency last month.

The 27-year-old spent one season with the Raptors after getting traded to Toronto from the San Antonio Spurs last summer and went on to lead the Raptors their first ever NBA championship.

When Leonard was dealt to Toronto last offseason, the general consensus all along was the Raptors would be a pit stop for him before he bolted to Los Angeles over the summer, and that is exactly what ended up happening.

Of course, it ended up being a very successful one-year stint for Leonard, as he averaged 26.6 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.8 steals over 34 minutes per game while shooting 49.6 percent from the floor, 37.1 percent from three-point range and 85.4 percent from the free-throw line en route to an All-Star appearance.

Leonard would go on to win the second championship of his career, the first coming with the Spurs back in 2014. He has also won Finals MVP in both of his title runs.

The Clippers did not only add Leonard this offseason, but also swung a deal to acquire Paul George in a trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder in the process. In addition, Los Angeles retained Patrick Beverley and JaMychal Green and also has pieces such as Montrezl Harrell, Lou Williams and Landry Shamet.

As a result, the Clips are considered title favorites heading into 2019-20.
