The Los Angeles Clippers are in the midst of a heated battle against the Dallas Mavericks. While Luka Doncic has been the talk of the series thus far, Kawhi Leonard wants to remind us he's pretty damn good, too.

Leonard was a human fireball in the first half of Game 2, scoring 30 huge points on elite efficiency.

The Clippers star made 10 of 14 field goals, with three triples and 7 of 8 from the free throw line.

But Doncic more than held his own. The Mavs star had 23 points of his own, on 9 for 14 shooting, with three assists and three triples of his own.

The Clippers face the real threat of falling down 0-2 against the thriving Mavs on the Staples Center floor. While facing a 0-2 hole is far from insurmountable, losing both games at home will prove to be a daunting task to overcome. With Games 3 and 4 being played on the Mavs' home floor, the Clippers need to win both to even the series right back. Else they face a brutal 3-1 deficit, or even a possible outright elimination.

But with the talent on the Clippers squad, the series is far from over. Kawhi Leonard's stellar first half reminded everyone of what he's capable of. If the rest of the team can round into form, the Mavs still have a lot to do before being able to wrap up the series.
