The Los Angeles Clippers are still holding out hope for Kawhi Leonard to make a return for the Western Conference Finals against the Phoenix Suns. Unfortunately, they will have to wait a bit longer, as Leonard has been officially ruled out for Game 3 on Thursday.

Not good news for the Clippers, who are facing a 2-0 deficit after losing Game 2 on a miraculous game-winner by Deandre Ayton at the buzzer.

Chris Paul is all set to return for the Suns, making the Leonard news that much worse for the Clippers in their attempt to come back from yet another 2-0 deficit in these playoffs. They did it against the Dallas Mavericks and the Utah Jazz, and a third time would be amazing, albeit, difficult without their best player.

This will be the fifth game in a row Leonard has missed, and Ty Lue will head back to the drawing board to figure out how to overcome the loss.

Game 3 of the series is Thursday night and it goes to LA, where the Clippers will do all they can to even the series and head back to Phoenix with some momentum. The pressure is on for Paul George and the rest of the team to find a way to top the Suns.
