The Los Angeles Clippers will put all their efforts into their soon-to-be new arena in Inglewood. The project for the new venue is now in social media and has its own website, holding a goal to open in 2024, once their lease at the Staples Center is up, according to ESPN's Arash Markazi.

The privately-financed arena will run a cool $1.2 billion under owner Steve Ballmer and bear the following logo in the entrance and other spots through the venue.

This new arena would be located across the street from the new football stadium and the Hollywood Park Casino, able to seat roughly 18,000 fans.

The Los Angeles Lakers recently opened their state-of-the-art new health and wellness facility at UCLA last year, but the Clippers plan to house the team’s practice facility and team offices inside their new arena.

This move might just allow the Clippers to move from the shadow of the Lakers, now boasting their very own arena and separating themselves from the Staples Center once and for all.

While there is another six years to wait until the project is completed, the hope is that it won't take as long to regain a competitive team after Ballmer assured he wanted his team to keep high aspirations, now aiming at snatching a max-level free agent in 2019.
