The Los Angeles Clippers are interested in re-signing Montrezl Harrell and Marcus Morris in free agency this summer, according to Jovan Buha of The Athletic.

Both players become unrestricted free agents on June 30. The Clippers acquired Morris from the New York Knicks at the NBA's trade deadline, while Harrell has been in L.A. since the Chris Paul deal with the Houston Rockets.

Montrezl Harrell and Marcus Morris are the Clippers’ two best and most important free agents this summer. The organization is interested in re-signing both players this offseason, according to league sources.

Los Angeles will likely operate as an over the cap team in the offseason and would have limited resources to replace Harrell and Morris in free agency, so it makes sense for Jerry West and Co. to keep the two forwards.

The Clippers will have the non-bird rights on Morris, which means they can pay him up to $18 million in year one of his next contract based on his current $15 million salary. Morris is averaging 10.4 points per game with L.A.

Harrell is expected to be pursued by a few teams on the open market, so the Clippers might have to overpay to keep him. Harrell is putting up 18.8 points and 7.1 rebounds for L.A. off the bench. He and Lou Williams are once again carrying the Clippers' second unit.
