LOS ANGELES ā€“ The LA Clippers have offically re-signed forward/center Montrezl Harrell. Per team policy, the terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the deal was reportedly a two-year, $12 million deal.

Harrell appeared in 76 games for the Clippers last year, averaging 11 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.0 assist, 0.5 steals, and 0.7 blocks per game on 63.5 percent shooting in just 17 minutes of action. Some of Harrell's biggest games included a 26-point, eight-rebound game against the New Orleans Pelicans in early March and a 24-point, 7 rebound, 3 assist, 2 block game against the Portland Trail Blazers in mid-March.

ā€œMontrezl is a tough, hard-playing, gritty competitor who is committed to winning,ā€ said President of Basketball Operations Lawrence Frank. ā€œWe love his passion and energy, and are very excited to have Trezz back in a Clippers uniform.ā€

Looking beyond the numbers, Harrell was easily a crowd favorite in Los Angeles. Despite being undersized at the backup center position, Harrell's tenacity, hustle, and hunger on every single play caught the eyes of Clippers fans, who showed the love right back.

While most of his time was spent backing up former All-Star center DeAndre Jordan, Montrezl Harrell is expected to see a much larger role in the rotation and even push for a starting spot on a relatively young team that also has Marcin Gortat as well as Boban Marjanovic at the center position.

If you didn't already know, Harrell is also a huge shoe collector, and always brings two pairs of shoes with him to the arena on game days. He wears one pair in the first half, and switches into the second pair during halftime and plays the second half with them. Here are just a couple of the shoes he wore during the season that ClutchPoints was able to get photos of.
