There's no beating the Los Angeles Lakers when it comes to size of fan base. But Clippers owner Steve Ballmer is doing his part to challenge the hierarchy in LA – and he's doing it with kindness and generosity.

Ballmer has spearheaded an amazing project wherein he's bankrolled the refurbishment of 350 basketball courts all across Los Angeles. While he was vocal that he hoped it would turn a few folks to Clippers fans, Ballmer emphasized that the project at its core is to make a positive impact in the lives of youth in the area.

“Obviously, it's nice to have our logo at center court. In the outdoor, it's nice to have them on the backboard. That's great. If we get some fans, super. If it just helps positively impact kids’ lives, that’s really what it’s about. But hey, if we get a few fans out of it, I’m good with that too. One fan at a time. We're cracking 'em, we're scratching, we're clawing. We’re here to win championships, excite fans, and help kids,” said the Clippers owner.

Steve Ballmer has been a godsend for the Clippers organization, opening up his hefty bank account not just for locking in players for the roster. He's also doing his darnest to help the community and have fun while doing it.
