Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Danny Green isn't surprised superstar small forward Kawhi Leonard signed with the Los Angeles Clippers in free agency.

Green says he had an idea Leonard was either going to re-sign with the Toronto Raptors or head back home to Los Angeles and play for the Clippers.

After Kawhi Leonard agreed to join the Clippers, Danny Green announced he was signing a two-year, $30 million deal with the Lakers. Green and Leonard, who helped the Raptors win their first ever championship, will now battle it out in Los Angeles.

Everyone who knows Leonard had an idea he wasn't going to join the Lakers. It's not his m.o. to create a superteam with LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Leonard was able to recruit Paul George to the Clippers. The three-time All-Star and two-time Defensive Player of the Year convinced George to request a trade from the Oklahoma City Thunder to the Clippers.

The games between the Lakers and Clippers in 2019-20 are going to be epic. Los Angeles is still and will always be a Lakers town. However, the Clippers are going to get a lot of hoopla now that Leonard and George are on the squad.

The battle for Los Angeles is going to be one worth watching.
