The Los Angeles Clippers upended the lowly New York Knicks at home on Sunday afternoon, remaining right in the thick of the current Western Conference playoff picture. However, Clippers rookie point guard Landry Shamet had more important things to discuss after the team's latest win… like his current nickname situation.

“My nickname situation is crazy,” Shamet said after Sunday afternoon's win over the Knicks. “Even in Philly, I have a couple nicknames that you guys don’t even know about that I’m not even gonna let out. I’ll let you guys do what you do.”

Shamet, who is currently in the midst of his first NBA season, has split the 2018-19 campaign between the Clippers and Philadelphia 76ers. The former collegiate standout began the season with the 76ers before being shipped across the country to Los Angeles as part of the now infamous trade that sent veteran forward Tobias Harris from the Clippers to Philadelphia.

The soon-to-be 22-year-old point guard came to the 76ers at No. 26 in the first round of the 2018 NBA Draft from Wichita State. Prior to making eight appearances and six starts as a member of the Clippers, Shamet made 54 regular-season appearances with just four starts for the 76ers. As a whole, he has appeared in 62 regular season games, averaging 8.7 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists across 21.5 minutes per outing.

Making an impact for both franchises, Landry Shamet is creating a promising NBA career.
