Lou Williams of the L.A. Clippers just notched 10,000 career points off the bench, making him the third player in NBA history to do so.

As per Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints, Williams joins Dell Curry and Jamal Crawford as the only three players so far to reach the milestone.

Williams has been crowned Sixth Man of the Year twice in his career. His first one came in 2015 when he was with the Los Angeles Lakers. The second came last year when he was with the Clippers.

He's regarded today as one of the best bench players in the league. And ever since entering the NBA, it's a role that he's fully embraced.  As the leader of the second unit, Williams has had scoring outbursts of 30, 40, and even 50 points.

Last season, he played 79 games, 19 of which were part of the starting line up. Yet despite coming off the bench, Williams played 32.8 minutes per game. He averaged 22.6 points, 5.3 assists, and 1.1 steals per contest. He also shot 43.5 percent from the field and 35.9 percent from downtown.

And as Williams, 32, moves forward with his career, this is who he'll be known as. Some players furiously fight their way to land a spot in the starting line up. Williams, meanwhile, remains calm sitting on the bench up until the coach calls his number.
