Los Angeles Clippers shooting guard Lou Williams is favored to win the 2018-19 Sixth Man of the Year award over teammate Montrezl Harrell and Indiana Pacers big man Domantas Sabonis, per BetOnline.ag.
The online betting site as Williams at a -1600 to win the award, Sabonis at a +800 and Harrell at a +1000.
Williams, as he's been throughout his entire NBA career, was a walking bucket for the Clippers this season. He averaged 20.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game while shooting 42.5 percent from the field, 36.1 percent from beyond the arc and 87.6 percent from the free-throw line.
Williams won the Sixth Man of the Year award last season and is looking to collect the award for the third time. Harrell and Sabonis had good seasons, but Williams was on another level. He scored at least 20 points 35 times and had two games this season where he hit 40 or more in less than 34 minutes of action.
The Clippers made the playoffs this season despite not having a single All-Star on the team. They took the Golden State Warriors to six games in the first round of the 2019 playoffs. Williams averaged 21.7 points in the six-game series and shot 43.3 percent overall and 33.3 percent from the 3-point line.
