Los Angeles Clippers point guard Lou Williams put together another tremendous performance on Wednesday night, as he led his team to a Game 5 victory against the defending champions, the Golden State Warriors, 129-121.

Williams proved to be the difference yet again, scoring a team-high 33 points (on 12-of-19 shooting), along with one three-pointer, four rebounds, and 10 assists off the Clippers bench.

During the post-game press conference, Williams shed some light on how he has developed into one of the deadliest sixth man players in the history of the league. According to the 32-year-old veteran, it's not actually a matter of preference, but simply making do with what is given to him.

“Nobody's ever offered me a different role,” Williams stated. “Let's clear that up. Everybody asks me, ‘why don't you start?' I'm not the coach. And I think Doc [Rivers] is the eighth coach of my career and nobody's offered me a starting job, so I've perfected the one that I have.”

The Clippers pulled off quite an upset on Wednesday, as they defeated a heavily-favored Warriors side in Oracle Arena. Golden State was the favorite to close out this series at home, but L.A. would refuse to give in and would force a Game 6. The Clippers will live to fight another day, and with momentum and the home court advantage on their side, it would not be surprising if they secure another win to force a deciding Game 7 contest.
