Lou Williams' numbers may have decreased this season, but his presence remains as important as ever for the Los Angeles Clippers.

On Friday, that much is proven as Williams kept the Clippers fired up against the Utah Jazz. While he was on the bench with Ivica Zubac, Sweet Lou was heard motivating the youngster and the rest of the team.

Sure enough, the motivation worked, as the Clippers went away with a narrow 116-112 victory over the league-leading Jazz. The victory also ended Utah's nine-game winning streak and elevated LA to just half a game behind the second-seeded Los Angeles Lakers.

While Zubac scored only three points in the contest, he did finish with eight boards and had a positive impact on the floor. For his part, Lou Williams scored 19 on 8-of-14 shooting while contributing two rebounds, assists and steals.

Kawhi Leonard led the way for the Clippers with 29 points, while Paul George had 15. However, there's no denying that Lou Will's passionate talk on the bench had a great impact on the team. After all, last Wednesday, the Jazz easily handled LA to bag a 114-96 win.

Williams has been the subject of trade rumors as of late, which is really quite frequent whenever the trade deadline looms. However, the 34-year-old vet is certainly proving that what he brings to LA is more than just his off-the-bench scoring.
