LA Clippers shooting guard Lou Williams left Monday night's game against the Phoenix Suns during the first half with hamstring soreness and did not return to play.

Williams spent roughly 20 minutes in the locker room being evaluated before the Clippers' medical staff ultimately ruled him out for the remainder of the game.

The Clippers managed to hold on for an overtime victory, 123-119. In his 12 minutes of playing time against the Suns, Williams racked up seven points on 3-of-4 shooting from the field (1-of-1 from beyond the arc), four rebounds and two assists.

Milos Teodosic, who finished Monday's game with eight points, two assists and one rebound in 12 minutes, checked in for Williams in the second half.

Williams is a two-time Sixth Man of the Year award winner, so it's safe to say he's an important piece of the Clippers' backcourt rotation. In his 26 appearances with the team this season, the Memphis native has recorded averages of 17.2 points on 39.8 percent shooting from the field (34.3 percent from downtown), 4.5 assists and 2.6 rebounds in 25.2 minutes per outing.

The severity of Williams' injury is unknown at this time, and he will likely be considered questionable for the Clippers' next game, which is Tuesday against the Toronto Raptors. Additional information should be released after Tuesday morning's practice.

If Williams is not cleared to play in Tuesday's game, the Clippers will have to fill the gap by committee, with Teodosic being the main beneficiary.
