Shortly after being traded to the Los Angeles Clippers, veteran forward Maurice Harkless is already asking people on Twitter for Kawhi Leonard's number.

Harkless was part of the four-team trade that sent Jimmy Butler to the Miami Heat. He played last season for the Portland Trail Blazers, averaging 7.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists. He is obviously a solid addition to the Clippers' roster as he's known for being a good defender.
Unfortunately, the Clips are still waiting for the player they really want to have.
24 hours have passed since free agency officially began, but Kawhi has been quiet regarding his free agency decision. He even decided not to hold meetings with teams last night, as he takes his sweet time in evaluating his options.
The Clippers are one of the teams who continue to save their cap space in anticipation of Leonard's decision. At this point, it has been a three-team tug-of-war between them, the Toronto Raptors, and the Los Angeles Lakers.
There's still no word on whether or not Kawhi will make his decision tonight, but it seems that he's just been talking to people affiliated with the Lakers lately. He reportedly had a conversation with Magic Johnson and will reportedly meet with Jeanie Buss and Rob Pelinka.
Still, the Clippers are optimistic that they still have a legitimate shot at landing Leonard. But in the case that they don't, they will ride with the team that reached the playoffs and almost won 50 games last season. They will use their remaining cap space to sign good players that are still available, and they will continue to compete.
