LA Clippers forward Montrezl Harrell will lace up a pair (or maybe two) of AND1 shoes in every game of the upcoming 2019-20 season. According to Jovan Buha of The Athletic, the big man will still switch out his shoes at halftime, as customary, though it remains to be seen whether he will switch the colorway or the model altogether, depending on the game.

The sneaker game is perhaps as fierce as it's ever been, with AND1 making a comeback into the NBA hardwood after the likes of Kevin Garnett, Ben Wallace, Jamal Crawford, Stephon Marbury, and Rafer Alston wore them on the court.

Garnett, the company’s creative director and global ambassador, has put Harrell as the face of the brand — though Harrell is allowed to wear non-AND1 shoes off the court, unlike other brands with rigid exclusivity clauses.

Brands like Puma and New Balance have jumped into the NBA game, much like Chinese brands have over the course of this decade, with many NBA players choosing to sign hefty contracts with overseas companies.

Harrell, who will be the torch bearer for the brand coming into the 2019-20 seasons, has a potential collaboration with Wallace coming up and will be wearing exclusive colors of AND1’s new model, the Attack 2.0, to begin the season.

The 25-year-old recently signed with Rich Paul of Klutch Sports in late July, keenly aware of a huge contract year ahead of him, one he will now lace up with his very own pair of AND1 kicks.
