Montrezl Harrell says the Los Angeles Clippers will still play with a grit mentality despite having big expectations for the 2019-20 season.

The Clippers acquired Kawhi Leonard and Paul George this summer, so many pundits are picking LAC to win the title next season.

Harrell doesn't see the new expectations and hoopla surrounding the Clippers changing the way he and his teammates approach and play the game.

“I think it's more so the expectations for the outside world,” Harrell said on ESPN's The Jump. “You know for everybody in that locker room, we're gonna come with that same type of mindset that we had last year, to be that team, you know, that's built off grit, fight, competition, going in competing and, you know, that's what Steve Ballmer's kind of built our team around.

“I just think we added two more guys who already had that mindset as individual players.”

The Clippers won 48 games last season and took the Golden State Warriors to six games in the first round of the playoffs. You can only imagine how elite LAC is going to be on both sides of the ball now with Leonard and George on the roster.

Defensively, the Clippers are going to wreck havoc on opposing offenses. Montrezl Harrell, Patrick Beverley, Leonard and George are stout defenders at their positions. Needless to say, teams are going to have nightmares going up against the Clippers in 2019-20.
