Los Angeles Clippers guard Patrick Beverley is feeling confident as his team gears up for the playoffs. They are currently eighth in the Western Conference standings, and with 13 games left, they will most likely do whatever it takes to avoid meeting the Golden State Warriors in the first round.

Fortunately for the Clippers, they are in a position where a string of wins could catapult them up the standings. They are only three games behind the third-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder.

Should they continue to climb up the standings, the Houston Rockets are one of the potential opponents the Clippers could face in the first round, and for veteran guard Patrick Beverley, a score needs to be settled:

Beverley hasn't forgotten the fact that the Rockets traded him to the Clippers as part of the Chris Paul trade two summers ago. Beating his former team would surely mean a lot to the guard.

However, Beverley also reiterated the fact that he doesn't care who the Clippers face. All that matters to him right now is helping the Clippers make the playoffs, which has been their primary goal all season.

But if LA somehow finds a way to face the Rockets, Beverley will have extra motivation.
