The Los Angeles Clippers will bring back most of last season's roster, with some major upgrades following the additions of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George this summer. Veteran guard Patrick Beverley is excited to play with this new-look roster, which he called essentially the same, but on steroids.

The Clippers were one of the grittiest teams in the NBA last season, due in part to Patrick Beverley. Although they came into the playoffs as the eighth seed, they still managed to give the Golden State Warriors a hard time in the first round, winning two games before eventually losing the series.

Heading into free agency, nobody thought that the Clippers would be able to sign Kawhi and trade for PG, but they made it happen. Although they had some key losses in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Danilo Gallinari, they are still a better team now compared to last season.

On paper, the Clippers are poised to be one of the best defensive teams this season, with Leonard, George, and Beverley guarding the perimeter, they will definitely make it hard for opposing teams to score. Offensively, they are also loaded with both All-Star forwards leading the way, along with reigning Sixth Man of the Year Lou Williams.

The Clippers will begin the season without George, who's expected to miss at least a couple of weeks as he continues to recover from his shoulder injury. But when the team reaches full strength, and if they will be able to remain healthy over the next 10 months, they are definitely going to be one of the most exciting teams to watch in the future.
