Los Angeles Clippers guard Patrick Beverley and the rest of his teammates were the butt of jokes on NBA Twitter after the Clippers blew a 3-1 series lead to the Denver Nuggets in the 2020 Western Conference Semifinals at Walt Disney World.

Beverley, who talked a lot of smack all season about how the Clippers were the best team in the NBA, got heavily trolled by Portland Trail Blazers stars Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum since the Chicago native went after Lillard following the superstar point guard missing two straight free throws against the Clippers during one of the seeding games.

Beverley and Clippers forward Paul George kept telling Lillard to prepare for his early vacation by using the famous phrase “Cancun on 3.” However, now that LA got embarrassed by the Nuggets, fans are commenting “Cancun on 3” on all of Beverley's posts.

The rugged defender has no choice but to make fun of himself since the Clippers choked against Denver:

Patrick Beverley is being a good sport, but he has no other choice since the Clippers pulled off an epic choke job versus Denver. The Clippers have never advanced to the Western Conference Finals in franchise history.

After the team got back to Los Angeles, head coach Doc Rivers and the club parted ways. It's going to be interesting to see who the franchise hires to be the next head coach. Thus far, they have been linked to Tyronn Lue, Sam Cassell, Mike Brown and Darvin Ham.
