Los Angeles Clippers combo guard Patrick Beverley is going to treat every defensive matchup down in Orlando as if he's guarding Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, LeBron James and James Harden.

The Clippers' defensive ace spoke about his defensive mentality with Whistle Sports:

LAC's eight seeding games have the club taking on the Los Angeles Lakers, New Orleans Pelicans, Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks, Portland Trail Blazers, Brooklyn Nets, Denver Nuggets and Oklahoma City Thunder before the 2020 playoffs start.

LeBron James and the Lakers have the best record in the Western Conference standings. However, Patrick Beverley and the Clippers did go 2-1 against The King and the LakeShow before the 2019-20 season was suspended in March.

As it stands, the Lakers are 5.5 games ahead of the Clippers in the West.

Fans are hoping the Clippers and Houston Rockets meet in the postseason since Beverley and Russell Westbrook hate each other and it's always fun to watch the Chicago native go up against James Harden.

Unfortunately for Beverley, he won't get the chance to guard Stephen Curry or Kevin Durant. Curry's Golden State Warriors won't be partaking in the “bubble” games since they had the worst record in the NBA. Durant, meanwhile, is still recovering from his Achilles tear.

Prior to games getting suspended in March, Beverley was averaging 7.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.7 assists for the Clippers. He was also shooting 42.8 percent from the field, 37.9 percent from beyond the arc and 65.9 percent from the free-throw line.
