Despite the recent LeBron James signing, Patrick Beverley still believes the Los Angeles Clippers are better than the Los Angeles Lakers.
On top of that, Beverley also believes the Clippers are real contenders for the crown.
How do we know this? He literally said as much.

Don't sleep on the Clippers — so says Patrick Beverley who tells TMZ Sports his “superteam” is better than Golden State AND the Lakers … if they can stay healthy.
Beverley says he and Avery Bradley are the best two defenders in the HISTORY of the NBA — “that's like two Gary Paytons playing with each other.”
There's full video in the TMZ clip, which is worth watching for context purposes, but everyone kind of gets the gist of what is happening here, right? NBA players are out and about having a good time with buddies, TMZ or whoever pops by and asks some questions, then the players give us ridiculous soundbites to help the offseason not feel as boring.
If you wanted to take Beverley's statements at face value, I mean, you could… but why? After all, even without the video, you could clearly tell there is some tongue-in-cheek tomfoolery going on.
That being said, Patrick Beverley should forever get a free pass for his long, tough road to becoming a consistently good NBA player.
