The LA Clippers will have Patrick Beverley available to play in the NBA's restart opener against the Los Angeles Lakers. Head coach Doc Rivers announced his status during pregame interviews on Zoom, but wasn't sure about any specific minutes limit.

“Pat will play,” Rivers said. “Not sure about the minutes yet for sure but he'll be out there.”

Beverley was outside the bubble for nearly a week as he tended to a personal matter back home. He returned to Orlando on Sunday, underwent his four day quarantine period, and has now been cleared to play. Rivers made it sound like Beverley at the very least will not be completely unrestricted.

Patrick Beverley has been averaging 7.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.1 steals per game while shooting 38 percent from beyond the arc.

On the Lakers side, head coach Frank Vogel said Anthony Davis was cleared to play after suffering a scratch on his eye earlier in the week. LeBron James, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and Kyle Kuzma, who were all listed as probable to play, are good to go as well.

The Clippers took the first two matchups against the Lakers, one on opening night and another on Christmas Day. The Lakers won the third game on just three days before the NBA's hiatus.
