The LA Clippers pulled off a major coup this offseason, trading for Paul George and then signing Kawhi Leonard in one fell swoop. This gave the Clippers one of the most fearsome duos in the NBA and a legitimate chance to win their first championship.

Naturally, George thinks he and Leonard are indeed the best duo in the NBA because of their two-way dominance:

George finished third in MVP voting thanks to a career year in 2018-19, while Leonard romped his way through the postseason and earned Finals MVP by leading the Toronto Raptors to a six-game series win over the Golden State Warriors.

The 29-year-old George is still recovering from offseason shoulder surgeries, and he may not be ready to go by opening night. But once George and Leonard are on the floor together, it's going to be a terrifying sight for opponents. It also helps that the Clippers are bolstered by a terrific supporting cast.

Of course, the Clippers aren't the only team with an elite duo playing at Staples Center this season. The Los Angeles Lakers formed their own dynamic duo this offseason by pairing Anthony Davis with LeBron James, and these two teams are going to be battling for Staples Center supremacy all season. As LeBron noted, Staples Center truly was the winner of the offseason.
