The Los Angeles Clippers narrowly lost Game 1 against the Utah Jazz on Tuesday. It was a close encounter that went down the wire. For his part, Clippers star Paul George did not have the best of games. ESPN analyst and former NBA champ Kendrick Perkins made sure to let the whole world know about it.

Perk did not hold back with his criticism on Paul George, expressing his belief that PG was once again missing when the Clippers needed him the most:

“Can anybody find Paul George?! I remember him … saying that people were gonna pay,” Perkins exclaimed. “Well right now the only person that's paying is Steve Ballmer because we don't know where you are!”

Perkins is never one to mince words and he's gone on an all-out barrage against George here. The outspoken analyst also brought to light how PG has been on a bit of a cold streak which extends to the final two games of the Clippers' first-round series against the Dallas Mavericks.

There's no other way for George to redeem himself but by playing better basketball. He has indeed left a lot to be desired in his recent performances, and while Perkins' criticism was harsh, one could say that it is warranted to some degree. The Jazz will be an extremely difficult matchup for the Clippers, and they will need George to be at his very best moving forward.

Game 2 of this series is scheduled for Thursday, and LA will be hoping for a bounceback performance from their star.
