The Los Angeles Clippers will be without All-Star Kawhi Leonard for Sunday's contest versus the New York Knicks, but good news comes in the form of getting the thumbs up for both Paul George and Patrick Beverley playing.

Clippers head coach Doc Rivers confirmed the news before tip-off:

Both George and Beverley were absent from Saturday's loss to the Memphis Grizzlies, where Los Angeles was throttled by 26 points. With both men getting cleared to play well ahead of tip-off, they can likely be expected to see their full minutes allotment.

George missed one contest due to a hamstring ailment that knocked him from play Thursday night. As for Beverley, he is returning after a three-game absence due to a right wrist sprain.

The Clippers have lost consecutive games just once this season (Nov. 13-14), having sprinkled losses between victories since mid-December. While George has averaged 23.1 points per game this year, he has led the team in scoring just once in its last seven games, a stretch he is aiming to snap versus New York.

Los Angeles has had its full allotment of players for very few games this season, yet the group has been able to open the year with a 25-12 mark. This record has them in possession of the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference. Rivers has been open with stating that he values his team's health heading into the postseason over their playoff seeding, a strategy that has led to the group staying fresh heading into the new year.
