Paul George and the LA Clippers dropped Game 1 of their Western Conference semifinals to the Utah Jazz, 112-109. George finished with 20 points, 10 rebounds, and two assists, but struggled mightily from the field, shooting just 4-of-17 from the field, including 3-of-8 from beyond the arc.

Throughout the game, Jazz fans let Paul George hear it, chanting ‘Playoff P,' ‘overrated,' and ‘Wayoff P' every time he went to the free throw line.

After the game, George was asked about the Jazz fans taunting throughout the game.

“I mean, I like it,” Paul George said. “That part doesn't get to me. You know, it's all respect. I've had good games here. I've had bad games here. That part doesn't get to me. That's part of this game to be honest. Crowds going to be involved. You want that. As an opposing player, you kind of want that.”

Game 1 marked the third straight game shooting 40 percent or fewer for George, who has helped the Clippers in other areas throughout the postseason.

Still, Paul George believes his shot will return, as will his decisiveness, by Game 2 Thursday night.

“I just didn't shoot the ball. Fact of the matter, I didn't shoot the ball well tonight. But I'll have a better approach. I thought I was just indecisive on my approach. But I'll be a little bit better on getting the shots that I want and taking those shots that I want.”

The Jazz won Game 1 behind a 45-point explosion from Donovan Mitchell. Mitchell shot 16-of-30 from the field, scoring 32 of his 45 points in the second half.

Game 2 between the LA Clippers and Utah Jazz will be Thursday night. Paul George will hope to bounce back and lead his team to a split in Utah.
