The Los Angeles Clippers bench took care of business on Tuesday, putting up 44 points off the bench to help the duo of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George take down the Dallas Mavericks convincingly, 114-99.

George was proud of the bench effort, something the Clippers can count on a nightly basis — boasting the best in the NBA.

“We've got 50-plus on the bench. That's hard to beat,” said George, according to Farbod Esnaashari of Forbes. “When you've got myself and Kawhi in the starting group, 50-plus coming off the bench, it's constant. It's constant waves.”

While it wasn't quite 50 points off the bench, the Clippers substitutes outscored a deep Mavs bench by seven points, most of them coming by way of the duo of Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell.

That commodity allows head coach Doc Rivers to swap his starters in and out of games without concerns about having enough offense on the court, especially considering he's trotting out the combo of two savvy defenders in Leonard and George for 30-plus minutes a night.

The Clippers checked the duo of Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis, limiting them to a combined 37 points on 8-of-27 shooting from the floor (29.6%). George also racked up a season-high six steals, which played a major part in disrupting the Mavs' offense, forcing them to commit 20 turnovers in the game.

Los Angeles is quickly shaping up into a contender, now winners of six straight and picking up the right steam after getting George back from injury.
