Los Angeles Clippers star small forward Paul George has only played in 39 games this season because of nagging hamstring injuries and the two offseason shoulder surgeries he underwent.

As a result of being in and out of the rotation, George admits he's still a work in progress for the Clippers:

“I'm a work in progress,” George said after the Clippers' dominant 109-94 win over the Thunder, via ESPN. “It's been a tough year being injured. Being in the rotation, being out of the rotation. And then just playing in a whole new system, new players, new teammates, new coaches, new playing style. So it's been a bit of an adjustment for me.”

George is averaging 21.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists on the season for the Clippers. He's shooting 43.0 percent from the field, 40.4 percent from beyond the arc and 88.8 percent from the free-throw line.

The Clippers are 42-19 on the season. They are in second place in the Western Conference standings. The franchise needs George and Kawhi Leonard to be as close to 100 percent for the playoffs if the Clippers want to capture their first title in history.

George, 29, has career averages of 19.9 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists with the Indiana Pacers, Thunder and Clippers.
