No Kawhi Leonard? No Paul George? No problem for the Los Angeles Clippers who defeated the Detroit Pistons on a second night of a back to back on Wednesday. The Clippers were led by Reggie Jackson’s 29 points and six rebounds including the game winner.

Jackson has been a huge part of the Clippers’ success this season. He’s been the perfect role player alongside Leonard and George. The Clippers have now won seven straight games and are one of, if not the hottest teams in the league. Jackson is certainly making the most out of the extra playing time he’s gotten due to the injury of guard Patrick Beverley.

This is a big win for the Clippers considering they were without their stars. Not only do they allow Leonard and George to rest and recover but also maintain their winning ways. They’re behind the Phoenix Suns and Utah Jazz in the standings but unfortunately haven’t climbed up because both the Suns and Jazz have been winning as well.

However, the Clippers have looked good as of late. Their offense has been sharp and the addition of Rajon Rondo has helped them in more ways than one. They look like a team poised to make a strong playoff push this season. The question for them is if they can handle the pressure, which they didn’t get to do in last year’s bubble.

The Clippers look to continue their winning ways as they face the Eastern Conference top seed team Philadelphia 76ers on Friday followed by the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday and Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday.
