Toronto Raptors free agent Serge Ibaka is headed to the Los Angeles Clippers, per a report from The Athletic's Shams Charania. The contract is for two years, $19 million, with Ibaka wielding a player option after Year 1.

After seeing their crosstown rival Los Angeles Lakers make plenty of moves to shore up their repeat bid, the Clippers have finally made a big splash of their own.

The Clippers just saw their own star big man Montrezl Harrell dart for the Purple and Gold. The Raptors shot-blocker gives them some much needed help in the frontcourt.

Despite some solid offensive play from Harrell and Ivica Zubac in spurts, the Clippers have lacked an interior presence to help patrol the paint. Although we weren't able to see the Clippers vs. Lakers matchup in the NBA bubble playoffs, the thought of Anthony Davis going up against those Trez and Zu would give most Clippers fans nightmares. Serge Ibaka becomes a much more palatable defensive matchup in any scenario.

Kawhi Leonard's squad has been dealing with a ton of internal turmoil as of late. Bringing in a solid veteran with championship experience can do nothing but improve that.

The 30-year-old had solid averages of 15.4 points, 8.2 rebounds, and a block per game. His ability to step out and drain the three at a decent clip will also be a massive boon, serving as a 36% career shooter from deep and 38.5% last season.

Those numbers came in a Raptors rotation that featured plenty of frontcourt talent in Marc Gasol and Pascal Siakam. Expect Ibaka to have a career year with all the minutes he can handle on the Clippers.
